Maintenance for U.S. VPN Servers

Hi All,

Just a quick announcement that our U.S. based servers are about to go under a maintenance cycle to prepare them for a dynamically issued vpn service. I expect no more than a maximum of 30 – 60 minutes to perform the entire operation.

How To Use A VPN With Xbox 360

Ok guys, I wanted to let you know that over the last 2 months or so I’ve literally received hundreds of requests to devise a way to get an Xbox 360 to run through a vpn service. I’m pleased to announce that my efforts have been successful and I have tested the IAPS networks in Ireland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States and all jurisdictions were easily able to play online at Xbox Live.

With the major part out of the way, I’m now working on how to stream media services from the Xbox 360 to your TV directly. I know a few British services have just launched Xbox 360 compatible streaming services and I hope to have a solid guide for this as well in the next few coming days.

Here is the step by step guide straight from the IAPS site detailing how you can setup your Xbox 360 to use a vpn:

How To Use A VPN With Xbox 360.

I have screen shots available that prove my method works, and that it works well. It is my hopes that I have fulfilled another well sought-after entertainment facility for you folks. If you have any questions or comments, or would like to see the screen shots, please let me know. Thank you.

VPN Service & Xbox 360

Folks I’ve just posted preliminary instructions on how to use a VPN service with the Xbox 360 gaming console. It is my hopes that these instructions help guide you on your way to both internet gaming and catching some telly by using your gaming console to transfer the picture directly to your tv instead of your computer screen. This is not an all-exclusive instruction manual and I may have room in there for marginal error. But its written to the best of my knowledge and tested here in the IAPS Control Center. If you have any questions or comments about this guide, please let me know. Thank you.

NetNewz Server Update

Hi Folks,

I noticed a lack of bandwidth on the U.S. based NetNewz server over the past couple of days and started submitting multiple trouble tickets to the data center. Last evening they finally conducted an investigation and found out that they put the server on the wrong network segment. Finally, they physically moved the server to the correct segment of the network. They had to allocate a new ip range to the server as well. For those of you that are currently assigned to this server, please get in contact with us for the new ip address for your vpn service. Thank you.

New VPN Service Type: L2TP

Hi Folks,

I’ve finally gotten the time (barely) to implement L2TP vpn services on a select few servers. By this time tomorrow all servers will have this ability. This type of vpn is more secure than the normal PPTP vpn type and also will help those of you that for one reason or another were previously usable to connect to a PPTP vpn server. For those of you in Italy who were previously blocked by your isp (FastWebNet), this new type of vpn will enable you to finally connect. I’ve never forgotten about you folks in Italy and this solution was made just for you, but will benefit all IAPS clients regardless of geographical location.

If you are in immediate need of L2TP VPN services, please get a hold of me and I’ll get you taken care of. Thank you.

New Dynamic U.S. VPN Service & Mac Snow Leopard

Folks, the new U.S. based dynamic VPN service is almost complete. I’m in testing stages right now and hope to rap it up in the next 24 hours before I release it to the general public. So please bear with me for the time. I know there is a great demand for it and I’m working on it as fast as possible.

I’m also in the process of developing new VPN instructions to come into compliance with the needs of the Mac Snow Leopard operating system. I’ll have those new instructions completed as well in the next 24 hours. Thank you all for your continued support of the IAPS Security Store. We all appreciate it tremendously.
