Silverhawk

Hello Folks,

We are nearly done resolving the issue with the Silverhawk server. The server became unstable yesterday due to a corrupt driver in the servers primary network interface card (NIC). We originally thought that a card replacement would have sorted the issue but unfortunately it did not. So we had to make some other adjustments to the server to make it operational again. After a few more operational tests, we will be bringing the server back online for client usage.

Once the server comes back online, you will need to contact us with your current user name and the request must come from the email address we have on file for your account. Requests that come from email accounts not on file with us will not be honored. Account security is taken very seriously. When contacting us with the link above, please reference this blog posting and request a new account password. Your old password will no longer work. So you will need to send this request in. I expect the server to return to normal active status within 2 hours from now. Thank you.

Jared T.
IAPS Director of Network Security

Blog & Forum Customized Setups

Folks, I’ve had numerous requests from people out there requesting assistance for setting up their blogs and forums. I can do customized setups either on your servers or IAPS servers for these things. There is a one-off charge of $25.00 USD for setting up a blog or forum. Most people find the initial setups hard to complete or just can’t understand how to do it. Thats where I can help and complete the setup for you. If you’d like assistance, please use my contact form here and describe exactly what you’d like setup and I’ll respond with what I can do for you.

Questions are always welcome and if you need something customized or have a need for additional things to be installed, let me know and I’ll look into it. Thank you.

Silverhawk Preliminary Results

Folks, the polls are over-flowing with results on the new Silverhawk server. Many are surprised at the ease of the setup. Setup just once and its all one click from there. It really is that simple! We’re supporting both Pc’s and Mac at this time. We’ll get to you Linux users soon enough.

Reports are coming in quoting download speeds of 2.47 Mbps. Thats extremely fast folks and the premium bandwidth on this server is the best I can get. I’ll post another blog with further results later today when more people have had a chance to send in their results.

Welcome To Jareds Blog

Welcome everyone! I’ve never blogged before so this will be my first attempt. Many of you know me by my technical work through multiple websites, including the one that I own and operate. I’ve helped several thousand people through the multiple sites I mentor on with their home and business networking issues. I immensely enjoy the work I do and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

So now, why did I choose WordPress for this blog? I guess because its the most common name associated with blogging. Not to mention the fact that its free software and comes with a multitude of plug-ins for just about everything possible. When I was investigating these plug-ins last night, I saw some things I didn’t even know existed for the blogging world. I guess I need to update my sense of blogging!

I view this sort of as an online journal of my thoughts and how I can better the online world through my work, helping others, and through my knowledge of the networking world. There are so many different categories when it comes to online knowledge that none of us can figure them all out, let alone learn them all.

Keep watching this blog everyday as I’ll try to keep it updated as much as possible. Comments are always welcome and if you have questions that are more than welcome. Enjoy your time here and I hope you’ll come back often and enjoy hearing about my day, my thoughts, and answers to your questions. Have a nice day/night.
