Ok guys, I’ve done more extensive testing on the major gaming consoles and have perfected the technique. For those of you looking to stream to your tv’s through your Xbox, PS3, or any other gaming console, give me a holler and I’ll show you exactly what needs to be done. Its not as hard as you think and the benefits are great. You no longer have to be strapped to your computer desk any more.
Ok guys, I wanted to let you know that over the last 2 months or so I’ve literally received hundreds of requests to devise a way to get an Xbox 360 to run through a vpn service. I’m pleased to announce that my efforts have been successful and I have tested the IAPS networks in Ireland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States and all jurisdictions were easily able to play online at Xbox Live.
With the major part out of the way, I’m now working on how to stream media services from the Xbox 360 to your TV directly. I know a few British services have just launched Xbox 360 compatible streaming services and I hope to have a solid guide for this as well in the next few coming days.
Here is the step by step guide straight from the IAPS site detailing how you can setup your Xbox 360 to use a vpn:
How To Use A VPN With Xbox 360.
I have screen shots available that prove my method works, and that it works well. It is my hopes that I have fulfilled another well sought-after entertainment facility for you folks. If you have any questions or comments, or would like to see the screen shots, please let me know. Thank you.
Folks, I’ve developed and tested a new set of protocols that will increase your network upload speed by 3 times the amount as set by your local internet service provider as long as you are connected to an IAPS Network VPN Service. I’ve done extensive testing all over Europe and in the United States and the results appear the same.
Lets say for example that your local upload speed set by your provider was 512 kb/s. When your connected to an IAPS Network Server we can create separate lines for your upload and download speeds instead of tunnelling then through one line as is the practice of local isp’s. Once we add a few protocols of ours into the mix and are connected to an IAPS Network, that 512 kb/s upload speed should average out to be around 1.5 MB/s.
None of you currently have these capabilities and an IAPS Support Technician will have to perform live support for you to apply the correct protocols and configuration. If you have an active account with the IAPS Security Store then all you need to do is follow the instructions for live support that are contained at the bottom of your account opening email and send that information over our Encrypted Contact Page and one of our technicians will get with you and show you how its done and what the end results are as well as what percentage of an advantage you have obtained.
Folks I’ve just posted preliminary instructions on how to use a VPN service with the Xbox 360 gaming console. It is my hopes that these instructions help guide you on your way to both internet gaming and catching some telly by using your gaming console to transfer the picture directly to your tv instead of your computer screen. This is not an all-exclusive instruction manual and I may have room in there for marginal error. But its written to the best of my knowledge and tested here in the IAPS Control Center. If you have any questions or comments about this guide, please let me know. Thank you.
All servers have been returned to operational status. You will need to send in an email to staff@intl-alliance.com to request the servers new ip address. When sending in your email, you will need to include the first 4 lines of your account information email that we sent to you when you opened your account.
Ok, here’s how its going down:
1.) All British servers will be shut down in the next 30-60 minutes. This shutdown is needed to prepare the servers before the actual transition. Reallocating the network card, the ip tables, and other major parts of maintenance have to be performed.
2.) The servers will be in physical transition starting from 6am GMT time today and should arrive at their new home in 4-5 hours (depending upon traffic conditions) which would be approximately 11am GMT.
3.) It will take approximately 1-2 hours once the servers are put on the new network to make them ready for client usage. I expect full operations to resume between 1-3pm GMT. This scenario is best because it gives Friday late afternoon and all weekend to enjoy your services.
Folks,
Just another simple reminder that the British server transitions start this Friday and Saturday. Do not forget! Once the transition period is over, you will have to contact us to obtain the new ip addresses for each server in the United Kingdom that you are assigned to. As always, you will need to send in the first 4 lines of your original account opening email that we sent you at the time you opened your account. If you are unable to locate that email, we will present you with security questions that only you will know. This procedure is put in place to protect the integrity and safety of our networks as well as to only allow authorized individuals on our networks. Once your account has been verified, we will then issue the new ip address for your assigned server to the email address we have on file. We will not release any account information to an alternative email address at any time. Your personal safety, as well as our networks are always a security concern and we will not jeopardize either at any time. Its very important you know what your account information is as it will be requested and verified before we release any new information to you. Your account must still be in good standing and valid as well.
To reiterate, when the British networks come back online we will have come off of a 3-4 gigabit network and are being hooked up to a 16 gigabit network. This improves network connectivity, available bandwidth, and bandwidth delivery speed more than 3 times over. Whereas there may have been problem areas before, we believe these issue should be resolved after the transition period is complete. I will verify connectivity with all you folks and all of my remote support technicians will be on duty throughout the weekend to ensure that we get all of you folks back online in the shortest time possible.
For those of you that purchased dedicated ip addresses to go along with your accounts, these ip addresses will be changed over to the new network ranges. As always, there will be a primary and a secondary range available. I will personally get together with those of you that have personal ip addresses added on to your accounts and will privately issue your new ranges.
